Chasid M. Sapolu
Chasid takes pride in his work, including a drive to advocate passionately on behalf of his clients and ensure the protection of individual rights and liberties.
This pride is a product of his being born and raised on O'ahu's Leeward coast, and as a result of his continued efforts to represent his community and upbringing with integrity and professionalism.
After graduating from Nanakuli High School, Chasid went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in political science before earning his law degree from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law.
Chasid began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Karen Ahn in First Circuit Court, State of Hawaii, where he experienced a behind-the-scenes look at how cases are moved through our court system. Chasid also learned how judges analyze and apply the law to make decisions on cases.
After his work in the First Circuit Court, Chasid was hired as a Deputy Prosecutor for the City & County of Honolulu. During his career as a prosecutor, Chasid handled all aspects of criminal cases from investigation and charging/indictment to trial, sentencing and other post-conviction matters. He has handled all types of criminal cases from traffic tickets and DUIs to violent assaults, homicides, and high-profile felonies.
Chasid's background and experience gives him a unique understanding of the Justice System from a perspective that only a former prosecutor and judicial clerk can understand.
Chasid was assigned to multiple divisions within the Prosecutor's office including Misdemeanor/Traffic Division, Misdemeanor Jury Trials team, Screening & Intake Division, Felony Trials Division, the Career Criminal Division, Juvenile Offenders team and was selected to serve as the First Deputy Prosecuting Attorney - the second-in-command for an office of roughly 100 attorneys, 20 investigators, and 300 staff members.
This knowledge ensures that he will provide expert legal analysis, top-notch representation, and work closely with his clients to navigate the complexity of the justice system towards the best possible outcome.
